About Liu Ping
Liu Ping has been teaching Mandarin for fifteen years, first in a public middle school in Wuhan, then at a private language academy in Shanghai. She has a quiet authority in her voice — never rushed, every syllable articulate. Her students say she can explain the difference between 了 and 过 in a way that actually makes sense. Off the clock, she practices guzheng and reads Song Dynasty poetry to her cat. She joined Mandarin Temple because she believes structured, step-by-step learning beats chaotic immersion for most people.
