Trials, renewals, cancelling and what happens to your credits at each point. The short version: a trial is seven days and once per account, credits are added rather than reset, and cancelling re-locks content without deleting anything you did.
The seven-day trial
Paid learner plans start with a 7-day free trial. You give card details at the start, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and cancelling before then costs nothing.
A trial is once per account. Cancelling and re-subscribing later goes straight to a paid subscription.
What happens each month
- The invoice is paid — On the same date each cycle, by the card on file.
- Credits are added — 3,000 on Pro, 12,000 on Pro Plus — added to your balance, not replacing it. An unspent month carries forward.
- Nothing else changes — Content access, progress and settings are untouched by a renewal; it is the credit top-up that is the event.
Yearly plans work the same way at a yearly price — Pro is $190 against $228 paid monthly, which is two months free.
Cancelling
You keep everything until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, the paid content re-locks and the account reverts to free.
What you do not lose: progress, XP, streaks, badges, flashcard scheduling, your study plan, and any credits still on your balance. Cancelling closes a subscription, not an account.
Upgrading and downgrading
Both work in either direction. Upgrading grants the new plan’s allowance; downgrading keeps the credits you already have and re-locks whatever the lower tier does not include.
Credits already on your balance are yours regardless of the plan you are on. Dropping from Pro Plus to Pro does not take back the difference.
How payment is handled
Through Stripe. Card details go to them directly and are never stored on our servers — we hold a reference to a customer, not a card number.
Invoices, receipts and the card on file are all managed from your account’s billing area.
