The family workspace is four tabs in the red banner, and between them they answer the three questions a parent actually has: is anyone studying, is it going anywhere, and what should they do next.
The four tabs
- Family — Every child in one place — who has been active, who has not, and each one’s level and goal. The tab to check on a Sunday evening.
- Stats — Per-child progress: XP, streak, what has been completed and how the four skills compare.
- Explore — A launcher of things worth suggesting, pitched at each child’s level. The answer to "they have twenty minutes, what should they do".
- Guide — A parent-specific version of the in-app guide, plus a way through to this help centre.
Each opens over whatever page you are on, so checking costs you nothing.
Looking at one child
From Family you can open a single child and get their own view: an overview of where they are, their activity over time, and an ethics panel that states plainly what is being measured about them and what is not.
That last one is worth reading once, and worth showing to a child who asks. It is the same boundary described in safety and what you can see.
Reading it usefully
- Check weekly, not daily — A week shows a pattern. A day shows noise, and daily checking turns a dashboard into surveillance for both of you.
- Look at consistency before volume — Four short sessions beat one long one, and the streak tells you that faster than the XP does.
- Notice where they stopped — A child who stalls at the same section twice has hit something, and it is usually a specific thing you can help with in five minutes.
- Use Explore instead of nagging — A concrete twenty-minute suggestion lands better than "have you done your Chinese", and the tab exists to produce one.
The weekly report
The Family plan includes a weekly summary by email, so you can follow along without opening the dashboard at all. It is a digest rather than an alert — no notification when a child misses a day.
You can turn it off in your notification settings without losing the dashboard.
