Your study plan

rì jī yuè lěi — “Day by day, month by month, it accumulates”

How the calendar builds a week around your goals and available time, and how to change it.

Not what you were looking for?

Your study plan is the answer to "what should I do today", and it is the single feature that most decides whether someone keeps going. It is built from three things you told us — your level, your goals, and how many minutes you actually have — and it reshuffles around you rather than accusing you.

Where it came from

Generated at the end of onboarding, from your answers. That generation is the 15 credits people notice leaving their balance in the first minute — and the reason a free account is granted 215 rather than a round 200.

It puts a single Orientation Day at the front, then the HSK path for your level, weighted toward the skills your goals imply. Someone learning for travel gets more listening and speaking; someone learning for an exam gets more reading and writing.

Reading it

The Daily tab in the red banner shows today. The Calendar tab shows the whole schedule laid out by day, so you can see what is coming and how the weeks are shaped.

Each day is a small set of activities sized to your stated minutes — usually a lesson, some review, and one shorter thing.

When you miss days

Nothing accumulates. The plan reshuffles around the days you actually study — there is no backlog, no overdue pile, and nothing expires while you are away.

This is worth internalising because the opposite assumption is what makes people quit. Coming back after two weeks does not mean fourteen days of catching up; it means today’s session, as normal.

Changing it

  • Reshape the week — **2 credits**Rebuilds the schedule without regenerating the whole plan. The right call when your available days change.
  • Talk to the coach — **1 credit** a messageAsk for a change in words: more speaking, lighter Fridays, a push before an exam date.
  • Regenerate the plan — **15 credits**A full rebuild. Worth it after a level change or a real shift in what you are learning for; overkill for a tweak.
  • Change your levelFree, and does not touch your progress. What changes is what the plan recommends next.

You do not have to follow it

Nothing is locked behind the plan. Every lesson, entry, grammar point and studio is open whether or not the plan suggested it today, and studying off-plan still earns checkpoints, XP and streak days.

The plan is a recommendation with a schedule attached. Its value is removing the daily decision about what to do, which for most people is the actual obstacle.

Common questions

That is the study plan being generated — it runs automatically as onboarding’s last step. Free accounts are granted 215 rather than 200 specifically so the balance settles at 200 once it has run.
