Everything we send, why it arrives when it does, and how to stop any of it. The short version: security mail always sends, everything else is per-category, and Dragon Daily arrives at 8am wherever you are — which depends on your account having the right timezone.
What we send

- Dragon Daily — The day’s edition, once a day, at 08:00 in your timezone. Entirely optional.
- Messages — When someone writes to you in a thread you have not opened.
- Assignments and circle activity — When a tutor sets homework or something happens in a circle.
- A weekly family summary — Parent accounts, if you want it.
That is the whole list. There is no promotional mail, no re-engagement drip and no digest you did not ask for.
Dragon Daily and your timezone
The edition is sent at 08:00 in your own timezone, not in ours. That is done by sweeping hourly and mailing whichever readers have just reached 8am, so a reader in Singapore and one in Madrid both get it with their morning.
It follows that a wrong timezone on your account moves the email. If yours lands at three in the morning, the timezone is the thing to check.
Subscribing without an account
You can have Dragon Daily by email without signing up for anything — the subscribe prompt on the site takes an address and nothing else.
A subscription like that is just an address on a list. It has no progress, no streak and no account behind it, and the unsubscribe link at the foot of any edition removes it.
Stopping it
- The unsubscribe link — At the foot of any non-security email. Immediate, and does not need you to be signed in.
- Notification settings — In your account, per category, so you can keep assignments and drop the daily edition.
- All of it at once — Turn off every optional category. Security mail keeps sending, and there is no way to disable that.
When mail does not arrive
- Spam, first — A first message from an unfamiliar domain lands there routinely. Marking one as not-spam usually settles the rest.
- The address on your profile — Particularly if you changed it and never followed the confirmation link — mail is still going to the old one.
- The category — It is easy to unsubscribe from Dragon Daily and forget.
- Your timezone — If it is arriving, just at a strange hour.
